Hill's specifies adult dogs aged 1 to 6 years. It is not recommended for puppies, for pregnant or nursing dogs, or for older dogs, because their nutritional requirements differ. Speak to your vet about the right option for those life stages.

Allow four to eight weeks. Skin recovers slowly, and the food has to be fed on its own for the trial to mean anything - one shared biscuit can undo the result. If nothing has changed after eight weeks, that is worth reporting to your vet.

Sensitive Stomach & Skin is a gentler everyday chicken-based food for dogs with a delicate digestion. Hypoallergenic goes further, restricting the diet to a single novel protein with no grain. If a food allergy has been diagnosed or strongly suspected, Hypoallergenic is the more appropriate choice.

Choose by your dog's adult weight: Small & Mini up to roughly 10kg, Medium for about 11-25kg, and Large Breed for over 25kg. Kibble size and nutrient density differ between them.

No. Hill's Science Plan Hypoallergenic is an over-the-counter food. Hill's therapeutic Prescription Diet range is separate, requires veterinary recommendation, and is not stocked here.

Change gradually over about seven days, starting at roughly 25% new food. With a sensitive dog, taking ten to fourteen days is not excessive. Once switched, feed it exclusively for the trial period.
