Fish Health & Wellness — Targeted Tetra Treatments (Tank & Pond)

Sort common fish ailments fast with proven essentials from Tetra. This collection focuses on fungal fixes, white-spot (Ich) control, broad-spectrum support and a pond-safe remedy—so you can act confidently when symptoms appear.

What’s in this collection

  • Tetra Medica FungiStop Plus — for cottony growths and typical fungal issues in aquariums.
  • Tetra Medica ContraIck Plus — targets white spot/Ich (salt-like specks, rubbing, clamped fins).
  • Tetra Medica GeneralTonic Plus — broad-spectrum first aid for mixed/unclear symptoms.
  • Tetrapond Medifin — multi-purpose pond treatment for external problems in koi & pond fish.

When to choose what

  • White specks, flashing: Start with ContraIck Plus.
  • Cottony patches, frayed edges: Use FungiStop Plus.
  • Not sure / multiple mild signs: Try GeneralTonic Plus while you monitor closely.
  • Pond fish rubbing or dull coat: Treat the pond with Medifin.

Safe use & prep

  • Test water first: Check ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH—fix parameter spikes before medicating.
  • Boost oxygen: Add an airstone and ensure good surface movement during treatment.
  • Remove carbon/UV: Take out carbon/zeolite media and switch off UV sterilisers; they deactivate medications.
  • Dose by volume: Measure actual water volume (minus décor/substrate displacement) and follow the label schedule.
  • Partial water change: Perform as directed between doses or after the course; then reintroduce carbon if used.
  • Plants & invertebrates: Check label compatibility; consider a hospital tank for sensitive setups.

Care routine while treating

  • Feed lightly: Small portions once daily; remove uneaten food to protect water quality.
  • Vacuum debris: Siphon detritus to reduce pathogen load and improve clarity.
  • Observe daily: Watch breathing, appetite and fin position; adjust aeration/maintenance as needed.

Use filters to sort by brand and price. Add the right treatment for your symptoms, plus a test kit if you don’t have one on hand, and keep fish comfortable while the biofilter and water parameters stay on track.
