Super Catnip is a non-addictive herb that sends most cats into states of kittenish, friskiness and euphoria. Super Catnip can be spread on the ground, or a simple toy can be made by filling a sock, or cloth pouch with the herb for ultimate feline fun.

Super Catnip is beneficial to sedentary cats, or those living indoors keeping them active and exercised. Super Catnip can also be used to comfort sick or anxious cats that may be recovering from surgery or getting used to a new home.

Super Catnip is freshly grown in South Africa, and the variety used is incredibly pungent.

Tip:

Sprinkle onto or rub into cat toys, cat scratching posts, cat bedding or any other objects enjoyed by your cat.

Ah Ha!

We found the answer!! We mix the katnip in wirh their food. Now no more fussy eating and no more crazy circus.

Hi Mark,

What wonderful news! So glad to hear that you found the right balance for your kitties by encouraging them to consume it than simply smell it. Remember too that everything is best in moderation - so a wonderful treat every few days, but not necessarily every day.

Always feel free to get in touch if you ever need advice on anything kitty related. =^-^=

Crazy Cats

We have four cats. Their first exposure was complete chaos with them fighting to get to the packet which we eventually had to lock away. Next time we places a teaspoonful into four different rooms and locked them in with it to try to prevent the chaos.
The overall assessment is that all of the previously calm cats became paranoid and or agressive and eventually fell over and went to sleep.
We have decided that this is just not worth the fuss. What we hoped would be a treat turned into a nightmare.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Cats react in different ways to catnip - some cats get a bit dozy and fall asleep, for others it's a stimulant and they might get a little crazy and excited; and for others, they might not react to catnip at all. Their reaction also depends on if they are smelling it or eating it.

Another interesting thing about catnip is that a kitty's possible sensitivity to it doesn't emerge until they are between three and six months old; until then, a kitten will not have a response. Catnip sensitivity is hereditary - an estimated 50 percent of cats have no reaction. Quite clearly though, your little clowder of kitties have all inherited the sensitivity to its effects, and from the sounds of it, to the extreme.

We have something similar in terms of it being a herb for cats, but it contains Valerian which is a calming herb. Your furkids might be better suited to Happy Cat as a treat - https://canineandco.co.za/products/happy-cat..
