Tetra Pond AlgoRem flocculates floating algae, which then sinks to the bottom or floats to the top. You can then remove it with a filter or skim it off the surface of the water with a net. Tetra Pond AlgoRem also reduces the algal nutrient phosphate.

Too many fish or too much feeding can lead to the garden pond being ""oversupplied"" with nutrients. If there are only a few plants in the garden pond that would also utilize these nutrients, the growth of algae is encouraged. This is also called nutrient competition.
Floating algae makes pond water green - why is that? The mostly microscopic algae carry out photosynthesis. For this purpose, they contain green chlorophyll and this is ultimately responsible for green pond water.
