My husky is petrified of thunder and lightning. I have tried calming tabs, happy tabs, CBD drops, relaxants from the vet, you name it, nothing worked! I tried to tie a scarf/bandage around him and this was disastrous. We fitted a bluetooth speaker so we could play calming music during a storm.
Lightning/thunder storms are very common in Gauteng, South Africa. My dog would pant fast, pace the floor continuously and become very anxious. He would pee, try and hide in the shower, under a table or put his head in a corner. We would be awake at night, the last time from 02h00 to 05h00. Not very good for a work day.

As I write, we’re currently experiencing a storm. My boy has his brand new ThunderShirt on. He stands behind me, and there is no heavy breathing or pacing. I left the glass sliding door open.
